The box is very media orientated with a lot of multimedia focussed images and the key features of the board printed across the front including some aspects that we’d consider on higher spec boards such as USB 3.0, SATA 6G and DIGI+ VRM, though on top of all of that, we also find that 802.11n Wi-Fi is present and the patented BT GO! technology.

The side of the box is where we find the barcode sticker, which has more importance than just giving you some black lines and some random numbers. It actually gives us more information on the specifications of the board including memory speed and key features like EPU, TPU, UEFI and much more.

Flipping around to the rear, a first glance of the board is shown with a spec table and some of the main aspects explained including the DIGI+VRM and USB 3.0 technology.

Opening the box up we find the usual bundled accessories with a user guide, quick start guide, case badge sticker, driver installation disc, rear I/O panel and two black and white, right angled SATA cables.

On top of this, Asus also include two aerial antennas for use with the Wi-Fi functionality of the motherboard.

Due to this being aimed at the home entertainment and HTPC market, Asus also supply you with a remote control and USB receiver which on the one side of the remote, we find the typical buttons that we’d expect with a media remote including the ability to alter the volume, picture and much more.

On the other side is where things get interesting, as we flip it over we find a QWERTY keyboard which even includes a FN button for giving extra functionality to the small yet versatile remote control.
