Asus F1A75-M Pro Llano Motherboard Review

Final ThoughtsBeing a new board and new technology, it’s something that you can’t help but have expectations for and being honest, we found that it met our expectations quite nicely. It does exactly what it’s set out to do and that is purely to offer an all-in-one solution that can rival Intel’s range of components for a similar price point.

The board is designed just like any Asus board as of late, with quality and features in mind. We are given a fantastic colour scheme with plenty of room for storage and the latest expansion options. Also thrown into the mix in terms of expansion slots is the ability to CrossFire a Radeon graphics card in conjunction with the APU’s on-board graphics which gave us some fantastic results and is a fairly cheap way of boosting performance.

Overclocking wise we saw a good increase in performance and was happy with the overall result in terms of clock for clock speed whilst still remaining at a comfortable temperature and relatively low power output even full at full load.

No official pricing structure is set in place yet, but we have seen one retailer listing this board at £160, which in our humble opinion is a lot for this board, so we can only hope that this price is wrong and due to the retailer being unheard of by us, we can only hope that they are a small outfit trying to be a bit of a chancer.

The bottom line is that this board shows us the potential and pure effort that AMD are putting into Llano and it shows that Asus have managed to utilise what was given to them by offering a stable board with style, substance and great performance. What more could you ask for?

Pros

  • Great colour scheme
  • Stable when overclocked
  • Reliable manufacturer
  • Overclocks well
  • Great performance
  • Ability to CrossFire GPU with APU

Cons:

  • Pricing *COULD* be a problem
