Since this is one of the first GTX 960’s we’ve had in to overclock, we haven’t a clue on what to expect apart from NVIDIA’s teaser of possible overclocks. When we overclocked this card, we did not increase the voltage, but moved the sliders up a few notches. As you can see, already advancing on Asus’ factory overclock, we bumped it up again from 1253MHz to 1378MHz base clock, 1317MHz to 1441MHz boost clock and 1800MHz (7200MHz effective) to 1950MHz (7800MHz effective). That’s an average yield of an extra 9% performance.

At 1080p, the scaling is around 5%, but at 1440p and 4K resolutions, we see scaling of around 10%, not bad for free performance.
