ASUS Introduces Radeon RX 550 4GB and 2GB Video Cards
The ASUS UK website has officially listed the budget Radeon RX 550 graphics cards in their website, showing two different versions with a 2GB and a 4GB option available. The Radeon RX 550 uses the Polaris 12 GPU with 512 stream processors and using either 2GB or 4GB GDDR5 on a 128-bit memory bus width.
Other than the memory configuration and the price, the ASUS RX 550 4GB and RX 550 2GB’s features are identical. Both measure a compact 18.2 x 11.2 x4.3 cm and do not require additional power from the PSU, drawing directly from the PCIe bus. It has a single 80mm dust-proof IP5X certified fan that blows directly on the aluminum block heatsink on top of the GPU core.
The ASUS RX 550 has a DVI-D port, an HDMI 2.0 port and a DisplayPort. The maximum display resolution output support maxes at 5120 x 2880. Both 2GB and 4GB versions operate at 1183 MHz core clock.
The RX 550 4GB version is listed on Scan.co.uk for £109.99 including VAT and will be available starting April 24. The RX 550 2GB version, on the other hand, can be pre-ordered for £95.99.
