ASUS Launches ProArt KD300 Low-Profile Keyboard With Up to 16 Months of Battery Life
ASUS has launched its new low-profile mechanical keyboard, the ProArt KD300. It comes in a 65% layout, designed for users who want a very compact keyboard for professional work and content creation.
Although ASUS is widely known in the gaming market, this new device is aimed directly at creative professionals. It competes with well-known brands such as Keychron, NuPhy, and Lofree.
The KD300 stands out with its clean and elegant Black Aerolite design. As a 65% keyboard, it keeps a compact size while including arrow keys and a navigation column. However, it removes the top function row (F1–F12) to save more desk space. It features an aluminum plate and an injected plastic chassis that allows storage for the wireless dongle and offers two typing angles: 4.5° or 8°.
Record Performance and Battery Life
One of the most impressive features of the ProArt KD300 is its 4,000 mAh battery. ASUS promises up to 16 months of battery life using a 2.4 GHz connection without backlighting.
The keyboard also offers full connection flexibility. It can be used with a USB-C cable, via Bluetooth, or through low-latency wireless technology with a 1,000 Hz polling rate.
Inside, the keyboard uses low-profile ASUS Optical Red switches. These linear switches require an actuation force between 40 and 55 gf, making them suitable for smooth and quiet typing.
A feature inspired by gaming devices is the customizable touch panel located at the back. It helps maintain a clean design while offering useful controls. Users can adjust volume, brightness, media playback, or even perform mouse actions using gestures managed through the Gear Link app.
The ProArt KD300 has already launched in China at a price of around $145. It is expected to arrive in International markets very soon.
