ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 50-Series Comes with Type-C and Wood-Pattern

ASUS has just announced its latest line of ProArt graphics cards, which feature a rather unique design for the typically understated creator-focused range. The new ProArt GeForce RTX 50-Series cards not only pack the latest NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and next-gen performance but also come with a distinctive wood-patterned trim and a built-in USB Type-C port.

These new graphics cards are built around the powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, which brings some serious next-level performance to both gaming and content creation workloads. The new cards come with a suite of NVIDIA RTX 50 technologies, including DLSS 4, Multi Frame Generation, enhanced Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution, and NVIDIA Reflex 2 with Frame Warp.

More on the ASUS ProArt GeForce RTX 5080

The ProArt GeForce RTX 5080 features a massive 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, providing a huge amount of capacity for running pretty much any game at high resolutions with all the settings cranked up. For those with more creative tasks in mind, the card also offers up to 1858 AI TOPS of performance, which should make light work of even the most demanding AI-intensive tasks.

But let’s be honest, the most eye-catching part of this new design is the inclusion of a wood-patterned laminate trim on the rounded edges. This is a bold aesthetic choice, especially for a PC component, but it works surprisingly well and would be a perfect match for those who want to build a more natural-looking PC. It’s also a great fit for the ProArt PA602 Wood Edition chassis, which already incorporates natural wood elements into its design.

Potent Performance in a Slim Design

To accommodate the specialised needs of creators, the ProArt GeForce RTX 5080 graphics cards feature a slimmed-down 2.5-slot design. This makes them more compatible with a wider range of smaller PC cases and gives creators more space to install additional add-in cards in their system’s PCIe x16 expansion slots.

Even with its slim profile, the card is still equipped for potent cooling. It features the ASUS-exclusive MaxContact design with a vapour chamber cooler for efficient heat transfer from both the GPU and VRAM. Between its heatsink and the GPU, traditional thermal paste has been swapped out for a premium phase-change thermal pad, which not only optimises heat transfer but also the longevity of the thermal interface material. Additionally, a trio of Axial-tech fans keeps a steady stream of cooling air moving through the heatsink while minimising distracting fan noise.

Versatility that caters to creators

While creators and PC gamers typically use DisplayPort and HDMI ports, creators also routinely make use of USB Type-C thanks to its exceptional versatility. The integrated USB-C port on the ProArt GeForce RTX 5080 makes it easy to hook up a portable display or even several displays via daisy-chaining, without any additional wiring or setup.

Optimise your experience with GPU Tweak III

ASUS’s GPU Tweak III software can be used with ProArt GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards to enable easy tuning and for monitoring performance. It gives users an in-depth look at a card’s specs and status and makes it easy to adjust various parameters. The new OSD Wizard feature also allows users to easily customise the on-screen display to their liking. The ASUS GeForce RTX 50 series also supports MuseTree, an AI-powered image-generation app designed to spark creativity, which allows users to effortlessly create and manage images and visual ideas.
