ASUS RoG GL552V 15.6″ Gaming Notebook Review

Acoustic, Power, Battery Life & Thermal Performance

Acoustic Performance

Notebooks are known to be a little louder due to their compact cooling designs and higher RPM fans, but the GL552V did a fantastic job of staying reasonably quiet, even under full load.

Battery Life

A respectable time on battery for day to day tasks, more than enough to get some work down while you’re out for the day. Of course, it could be better, but given the compact size of the battery pack, I think this is pretty impressive. However, don’t expect to get much past the half-hour mark if you’re gaming.

Thermal Performance

Another win for Asus, with the already decent acoustic performance results, we’ve also got great temperatures too. Not too hot and not particularly noisy is a nice perk for any mobile system.
