A Closer Look

The mouse comes hard-wired with a USB cable, and it is plug and play ready. However, there is software for adjusting settings, which can be saved to the mouse so you don’t need to rely on the software, so it’s up to you.

The cable is really nice, is a lightweight and durable rubber sleeving rather than a softer braiding. It’s more durable too, which is great.

The mouse looks absolutely stunning, and as I said, very different looking to the version of this mouse from a few years back.

What is really cool is that it has a black plastic design, but it’s a little transparent, allowing you to see some of the internal hardware. It’s subtle but it’s there. It’s the same idea s we saw on their new PUGIO Wireless gaming mouse a few weeks ago.

Down the left side, you’ll find a nicely textured surface for added grip. Plus, there are two side buttons, which are fully programable, actually, all the buttons are programmable. I like the angle of the buttons too, it makes them easy to hit by sliding your thumb up; quick and easy.

Towards the back, you can see a small ASUS Eye logo at the back, which is actually a little hidden under the plastics, so it should give a more diffused look once the RGB is on.

Down the right side, the mouse is actually symmetrical in terms of the general shape. However, it only has left side buttons, so may not be ideal for those who are only using it left-handed.

The LMB and RMB are really nicely design, each mounted on their own sprung panel for more positive and individual feedback.

Finally, you’ll find a lovely large scroll wheel set into the mouse, with a soft grip coating and also some RGB built-in. You’ll find the third and final RGB zone hiding in the front of the mouse, just at the sides of where the cable joins the mouse.
