ASUS RoG STRIX Scope RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

Everything looks as you would expect an ASUS product to look. The box is very stylish, with lots of colourful graphics and a clear picture of the keyboard showing off its RGB lighting. There’s also a few other badges, such as their IF Design award, Aura Sync support, and Cherry MX Switches. Surprisingly though, nothing telling me which MX Switches exactly. I happen to know they’re MX Red, but I’ve played around with the keyboard prior to beginning to write the review.
Around the back, you get a lovely breakdown of all the major features and specs. We covered all that on the first page, of course, but it’s handy if you’re reading the box a retail store.
The “box” is actually a slipcover, and has a more durable inner box finished in black and red.
It’s hard-wearing cardboard, and has a soft cover over the keyboard to keep it neat and tidy.
In the box, you’ll find the keyboard (obviously!) as well as some cool stickers and the usual documentation. The keyboard is hard-wired too, with a black braided USB cable, so it’s just plug and play.
Finally, we have these lovely custom keycaps as well as a pulling tool. They’re just the WASD keys, so it’s clear this is more of an FPS keyboard, not that it shouldn’t be great at any other gaming too.
