ASUS ROG USB-C10G Brings 10 Gbps Ethernet to PCs Through USB
ASUS is well known for making hardware and accessories for gamers, content creators, and everyday users, but the company also offers other products that often go unnoticed.
One of them is the ROG USB-C10G, a USB adapter that turns a USB port into a 10 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet connection, giving users a faster wired network option for online gaming.
ASUS ROG USB-C10G Adds 10GbE Ethernet Through a USB Connection
The ROG USB-C10G is designed to add 10 Gbps Ethernet connectivity without requiring a free PCIe slot or the need to open a desktop PC. It is also aimed at gaming laptop users who want a faster wired connection without changing their hardware. The adapter has a compact design and comes with a short USB-C cable, along with an adapter that allows it to be connected to a USB-A port.
To reach its maximum 10 Gbps speed, the adapter must be connected to a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 port, which provides up to 20 Gbps of bandwidth. ASUS notes that using a standard USB-A connection may not deliver the full 10 Gbps speed, although the adapter also supports 2.5 Gbps and 1 Gbps network connections.
At the moment, ASUS has not announced an official retail price for the ROG USB-C10G. As more information becomes available, we’ll make sure to let you guys know here at eTeknix.
