ASUS STRIX GAMING RX 480 OC Graphics Card Review

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Here we can see the graphics card isn’t quite able to compete with the ASUS STRIX GAMING GTX 1060 OC although the gap becomes less pronounced at higher resolutions. During 1080p benchmarking, the GPU maintains a smooth frame rate and the drops aren’t overly noticeable. After setting the monitor to 2560×1440, the performance is commendable and teeters towards the 50 frames per second mark. The frame dips are quite large in the most demanding sections which make the gameplay feel unpredictable. Clearly, the graphics card isn’t designed for 4K gaming scenarios as demonstrated in the results below.
