ASUS Will Release More DDR4 Motherboards in Early 2026
Even though AMD has had the AM5 platform on the market for several years, which supports DDR5 memory, ASUS has not forgotten users who are still using AM4 processors and motherboards.
Due to the current memory shortage, DDR5 is hard to find and comes with very high prices. Because of this, many users are starting to look again at DDR4, which is more available and has a much larger market.
As a result, ASUS plans to release more AM4 motherboards with DDR4 memory support during the first months of 2026.
ASUS Plans More DDR4 Boards for Q1 2026

The new releases will not be limited to AMD platforms. Intel systems using the LGA 1700 socket, which also support DDR4, will benefit as well.
For the first quarter of 2026, ASUS plans to increase the production of DDR4-compatible motherboards to give users more affordable options during this memory crisis.
For AMD users, ASUS is expected to launch more motherboards with B550 and A520 chipsets, aimed at mid-range and entry-level systems.
For Intel users, ASUS may offer DDR4 boards based on B760M and H610M-G chipsets. These models are likely designed for people who want to save money when building a PC and avoid the high cost of DDR5 memory.
DDR4 prices are not perfect, but the wide availability of second-hand memory and older systems makes it easier to build a PC at a lower cost.
Thanks to these new ASUS motherboards, users will have more ways to build affordable systems without being forced to switch to DDR5.
