Asus Z77-A (Z77) Motherboard Review

3DMark 11

3DMark 11 is the latest offering from Futuremark, taking full advantage of DirectX 11 by utilising tessellation features and volumetric lighting. It takes your graphics and CPU hardware to the edge to simulate the most extreme conditions whilst working as a stand point to compare results with other users online.

Considering the -A board is effectively below the P8Z77-V LK in the spec range, its good to see that this down not limit on its gaming performance, with the board scoring a little more on the performance preset and only falling a few points behind at extreme. Overclocking saw an impressive gain in performance with the Z77-A able to take on some of the bigger players in the Z77 range.
