Attitude One Rapira One Gaming Mouse Review

Final Thoughts

Price

For around £30 the Attitude One Rapira One is fairly priced; it’s not too expensive and there are enough features to warrant the price tag. Unfortunately for Attitude One there are a lot of great mice in this price range from more familiar brand names that may make it difficult from them to make any kind of impact on the market.

Overview

The Attitude One Rapira One is a pretty good mouse for this price range and while gaming I found it to be rather enjoyable to use with no noticeable issues; but I can’t ignore that jitter in our sensor performance tests. The sensor is the Avago 3050 and it’s pretty average at best when it comes to providing smooth tracking and while this isn’t a problem for your average day-to-day casual gamer or PC user, it’s enough to stop those who take their gaming a little more seriously from buying this mouse. There were some nice benefits of this sensor that I liked; its tracking at lower DPI was smooth as silk, there was no acceleration and there was no sign of angle snapping. It’s a pros and cons sensor, but at this price range and with this many features on the mouse, something had to give to keep it affordable.

Build quality on the mouse feels pretty good, especially with the nice rubber grip coating that has been applied. The only issue I saw was that while you can turn the LED lights off, the red light of the optical sensor bleeds through the A1 logo on the back; the lighting effect never looks truly turned off. The switches feel really good and the ergonomic shape of the mouse is not only comfortable to hold, but also aesthetically pleasing.

The software is nicely designed and it’s easy enough to tweak all the important settings, record macros and more; although Attitude One should work quickly to fix the typo that reads 5000DPI when it should really say 3500DPI as this could confuse or mislead some consumers to a certain degree. (Update: The typo has now been resolved in their software).

Pros

  • Affordable price tag
  • High quality rubber grip coating
  • 7 programmable buttons
  • Easy to use software
  • Very comfortable ergonomics

Cons

  • Sensor jitter at higher DPI settings
  • Sensor light bleeds through A1 logo when internal lights are turned off

“I like the Attitude One Rapira One, it looks pretty cool, feels nice to hold and is comfortable after long hours of use. If Attitude one can come back to us in the near future with a slightly better sensor and fix the lighting issue, they could have one of the best low-to-mid budget gaming mice on the market”

Thank you Attitude One for providing us with this sample.
