Baldur’s Gate 3 Actor of Halsin Speaks Out: Not All Characters Need to Be ‘Banged’

Baldur's Gate 3 Actor of Halsin Speaks Out: Not All Characters Need to Be 'Banged'

The cast of characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the main reasons why the game is so loved. The option to have romantic relationships with different characters has sparked a lot of interest among players. Larian Studios knows its audience well and has mentioned this feature many times. Many players have responded positively, even creating rankings of their favorite couples.

When the Patch 8 update was released, it came with a trailer that made the relationship between Karlach and Shadowheart official. This sparked a new wave of discussions about romantic storylines, with players flooding the developers with questions.

“Not Everybody Needs to Get Banged”

Dave Jones, the voice actor for Halsin, a famous character who turns into a bear during a romantic scene, sent a message to fans on Twitter about this topic (thanks GamesRadar). He said, “When some people get the BG3 hammer, every couple they see thereafter becomes a nail.” He continued, “Not everybody needs to get banged.”

The reactions from players were mixed, with some people getting quite upset. As a result, Jones had to clarify his statement, explaining it in a more straightforward way: “I’ll say it a little plainer… not every pair of characters need remorselessly clapping together like Ken dolls. Some CAN remain simply platonic you horny little f*****.”

To clarify, the “little horny f*****” are the players themselves. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game filled with sexual humor, so much so that players have even held races to see who can get their characters to hook up the fastest, among other silly activities related to the characters’ sexuality.

It’s unlikely that many players will listen to Jones’ advice, given how they usually act, but it’s always worth a try.
