Batman: Arkham Origins is coming on October 25th on the PS4, X360, Wii U and PC. The most interesting fact about this story is that it’s being developed by WB Games Montreal and not Rocksteady Games. This entails that Rocksteady is working on some other un-named title, I’ll throw out a guess towards a Superman game.
Anyways, Origins is set early in Batman’s career and centers on a trans-formative moment for the hero, as he established relationships with those who will come to define him. The game also takes place in an open-world Gotham City during New Years Eve. The upcoming Game Informer has the assassin Deathstroke appearing on the back cover.
In addition to Batman: Arkham Origins, Armature Studio is developing Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, a 2.5D side-scrolling game for Vita and 3DS. If you aren’t familiar with Armature, they are composed of primary creatives behind Metroid Prime. If you’d like to find out more about Origins, be sure to pick up this month’s issue of Game Informer.
