Battlefield 6 Is Taking Cheaters Very Seriously, Players Using Cronus Zen Are Being Banned
Players who use Cronus Zen are now being automatically banned from Battlefield 6, showing that Battlefield Studios is taking the fight against cheaters very seriously.
Cheaters have always been one of the biggest problems in multiplayer shooters. While this issue has traditionally been more common on PC, it has recently started appearing more often on consoles — mainly due to the use of Cronus Zen, a device connected to the controller that allows users to create macros and controller mods.
Players Using Cronus Zen Are Getting Banned in Battlefield 6
Some games do not penalize the use of this device, but Electronic Arts (EA) has made it clear they don’t want anyone using it in their new game. According to several users on Reddit, players have shared screenshots showing they were banned from Battlefield 6 after the system detected the use of a Cronus Zen device — a clear violation of EA’s User Agreement.
It makes sense that EA would want to prevent the use of such devices, especially since they can create an unfair advantage over other players. The Cronus Zen can even load custom scripts capable of counteracting weapon recoil, which in a game like Battlefield 6 can make a huge difference in long-distance combat.
But that’s not all this device can do. It can also enable auto-aim or improve aim assist, which is why companies like EA and Activision have classified it as a tool for cheating. For that reason, they have decided to ban all players who use it.
