So, in terms of our testing, starting with the temperature control, the be quiet! Shadow Rock 3 did exceptionally well. Although it did land roughly in the middle of our stock and overclocked tests, when you look at the company surrounding it, for such a small cooler this clearly packs a really hefty punch.
The standout results, however, undoubtedly have to be the acoustic tests. This was, by a pretty comfortable margin, one of the quietest coolers we have ever tested. Admittedly, this is just a single fan design and, as such, has something of an advantage over the double/triple fan setups. It does, however, highlight just how truly excellent the be quiet! Shadow Wing 2 fan actually is. Not only in removing the heat, but also in doing so while barely making a whisper!
