Given that the be quiet! Shadow Rock Slim 2 is quite a small CPU cooler, you would be forgiven for thinking that in terms of overall performance, there might be some limitations found here in our testing. Generally speaking, bigger things tend to provide better results, right? β Well, in that regard the Shadow Rock Slim 2 is an exceptionally potent exception to the rule. Providing highly respectable results in temperature control at both stock and overclocked settings, this CPU cooler packs a significantly heavier punch than its rather small stature would suggest.
Without a doubt, however, and as entirely to be expected from a be quiet! product, the biggest standout highlight from our testing is seen in its acoustic performance. Despite keeping those temperatures nice and low, the be quiet! Shadow Rock Slim 2 does so while barely making any noise at all. β As such, if you, like me, really value acoustic performance, and perhaps more so at the moderate compromise of CPU temperatures, then this design is absolutely perfect for you! β Itβs easy to install, and once its in there, it will not disappoint you!
