A Closer Look

Without a doubt, be quiet! has crafted a gorgeous fan here, with a very clean white aesthetic, every detail is taken care of. The grommets, the corner mounts, the cables, headers, fan blades, even the sticker, it’s all done in matching white, and just looks stunning!

The fans are available in black too, of course, so you have a choice of what best suits your build.

The new fan blade design looks excellent, with seven blades on the fan, each with a large surface area and some shaping to the fronts of the blades that will help smooth out the airflow and reduce noise.

The 120mm and 140mm fans both feature tighter tolerances, with a reduced gap between the fan blade and the outer frame. This means the blades are a little bit bigger, allowing for more performance while still retaining the normal exterior fan dimensions.

The corner pieces are removable, with a set of radiator corners pre-installed, these create a more enclosed design, ensuring maximum air pressure from the fan by reducing air leaks around the edges.

The fans are PWM controlled and come with a gorgeous premium quality sleeved cable with colour matching cables and header.

Around the back, you can see the inner frame is given more shape to better direct the airflow out the back.

It also allows for those slightly larger than usual fan blades and tighter tolerances.

Located on the back of the fan, there’s a switch, that allows you to fix the max RPM to the medium, high or ultra-high settings.

As I said before, the corners can be swapped, just squeeze and pull to remove the pre-installed ones.

Take the extra set, and they simply click into place.

This makes the fan less sealed around the edges, and is better for case fan usage, as it can pull more air in from the sides. However, you want the sealed mode for radiators so that air blows only through the radiator and you’re not losing air pressure out the edges of the fan.

While I have both models here, largely, their design and features are the same, except the 120mm features 9 blades and the larger 140mm features 7 blades.
