BenQ Announces GW2480 1080p IPS Monitor

BenQ is big on the eSports world for creating many gaming monitors. However, they also make regular displays for other uses than just for gaming. Their latest product for example, is the GW2480 monitor. It is a full-HD 1080p display using an IPS panel. Unlike other IPS displays however, the GW2480 is meant to be very affordable. Surprisingly, it also looks quite good, especially since it has very thin bezels on the edges. The back of the monitor also has a texture pattern giving it more of a personality.
BenQ Eye-Care Technology
The GW2480 display has several features which combine for proper visual enjoyment. The IPS panel of course, provides superior viewing angles over TN panel monitors of the same price. Up to 178 degrees horizontal and vertical without affecting the visual fidelity. It also has Brightness Intelligence Technology. This detects content intensity to avoid overexposure of bright scenes while enhancing dark areas to maintain clear visibility. It’ll also monitor ambient light in your viewing environment and actively adjusts screen brightness for the most comfortable viewing experience possible. Plus it has low blue light filtering and features flicker-free technology. These last two minimize eye fatigue and strain.
The monitor also has built-in pair of 1W stereo speakers. As for connectivity options, there is an HDMI, a DP, and a VGA port. A headphone jack is also available if users want to bypass the speakers.
