BenQ Reveals Two 4K Casual Gaming Projectors

I’m a big fan of BenQ protectors, having owned for a while myself now, they’re image quality is properly impressive, but while I love my W2700 (also known at the HT3550) for its 4K HDR imaging capacities, it’s a bit pants for gaming, with low input latency that makes it unusable for all but casual gaming titles. However, today BenQ is unleashing two new 4K casual gaming projectors, the TK710 and TK710STi.

They’ve upgraded them with their latest 4K UHD laser-enhanced light source, which can delivery up to 3200 ANSI lumens, massively increased life spans (around 20K times), but most importantly they are specially designed for both low input lag and HDR, making them ideal for modern console and PC gaming experiences.

The TK710 and TK710STi each have a low input lag of 16.7ms (4K@60Hz) and 4.2ms(1080p@240Hz), making both models ideal for gaming on the big screen. Built for larger spaces, the TK710 has a throw distance of 100 inches at 2.5 metres. Easy to install with a +10% lens shift, this projector features Specialised HDR Game Modes for PRG and FPS. The more compact TK710STi is also easy to install and features a throw distance of 100 inches at 1.5 metres and includes the Android TV dongle with Netflix for streaming capabilities.

What BenQ Had to Say

“We are delighted to announce our latest casual gaming projectors” said Damian Trendall, Projector Business Line of Manager for BenQ UK. “With the TK710 and TK710STi, console gamers and movie lovers can experience stunning imagery and fast-paced gaming in virtually any environment.”

Price and Availability

The TK710, priced at £1,349, and the TK710STi, priced at £1,599, are available now in the UK on BenQ.co.uk. To learn more about the Casual Gaming Series of projectors from BenQ, visit www.benq.eu/en-uk/projector/gaming
