Virtual Desktop
Launching applications, games and more on the DK2 can be a pain. It often means taking off your headset, using your normal monitor and then launching your apps before putting the headset back on. With Virtual Desktop you can watch YouTube videos, browse the web and more via a giant virtual screen that floats in space; yes, that really is as cool as it sounds.

Open Broadcaster Software
A downside of Oculus Rift is that other people in the room can’t see what is going on! This software fixes that by capturing the video from the DK2 and displaying it on your desktop monitor. Just keep in mind that it can effect the performance of some demos.

Eager to view your 3D video files on your Oculus Rift? Then the VR Player software will do just that. It’s got just enough options to configure it for a range of 3D formats, including the popular SBS file types.

VR Game Manager
Oculus Rift is a tricky beast to setup, the display settings that work for one game, may not work on another. VR Game Manager is handy for configuring a few graphics settings, display layouts and more that can make launching your VR games a lot less stressful.

VR Cinema 3D
VR Cinema 3d is a little rough around the edges and it can be tricky to get your video playing properly, plus the less than ideal resolution of the DK2 isn’t quite up to par for movies just yet. However, if you want to test out what a VR cinema could be like, then this is a good place to start. Plus you get to pick the best seat in the house.
