BIOSTAR B660T Silver Mini-ITX Motherboard Announced

BIOSTAR has just announced their new B660T-SILVER motherboard and it looks pretty fantastic! I’ve seen a fair few BIOSTAR boards over the years, and quite often, I’ve found them to be unappealing when it comes to their design. However, their new Silver mini-ITX motherboard looks neat and tidy, and I’d happily have one of these in my system.

B660T Silver

It’s based on Intel Alder Lake B660 chipset, which is the more affordable series, but typically offers plenty for your average PC enthusiast without costing anywhere near as much as the Z-series motherboards. It promises “top-of-the-line performance, packed in a compact Mini ITX factor” and I don’t doubt it, as most motherboards perform broadly the same these days anyway.

What BIOSTAR Had to Say

“The new B660T-SILVER motherboard is ready to take on any challenge. Highly suitable for content creators, casual gamers, or a solid daily driver PC, this new motherboard does it all. Carrying BIOSTAR’s signature SILVER range styling and RGB customizability, the B660T-SILVER motherboard makes any build pop.” – BIOSTAR

Hardware

In terms of hardware, it will support two DDR4 DIMMS with a maximum boost clock speed up to 5000+(O.C), the B660T-SILVER brings BIOSTAR’s signature DIGITAL PWM technology and 9-phase power design “bolstering a solid foundation with better hardware support and lasting durability” according to the official blurb.

Furthermore, it comes with the latest PCIe 5.0 technology that boosts the performance of any latest graphics card, delivering superior performance that enables jaw-dropping AAA gaming experiences with faster, buttery-smooth frame rates.

When it comes to connectivity, BIOSTAR included multiple USB ports, which include USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, USB 3.2 GEN1, and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, and DISPLAY and DVI-D ports. There’s also Realtek ALC1220 7.1ch Blu-ray Audio technology, LAN port powered by Realtek RTL8125B (2.5 GbE LAN) and more.

Price and Availability

No word on price or availability just yet, but I suspect the answer will be competitively priced, and coming very soon.
