BIOSTAR Racing P1 Mini-PC Review

Storage and USB Performance

Sequential Read

The built-in storage isn’t the fastest. It’s fast enough that the system boots in a few seconds, and general files open very quickly, but it’s not designed to compete with conventional SSD storage. One thing that is nice to see is that USB 3.0 read speeds are still very competitive.

Sequential Write

Write performance wasn’t great, with USB 3.0 dropped to 38.8 Mb/s. Again, not enough to compete with desktop systems, but enough for day-to-day tasks.

Peter Donnell

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
