BIOSTAR Unleashes Wave of EDGE AI and IPC Hardware at LEAP 2026

BIOSTAR has been demonstrating its latest hardware at LEAP 2026 in Saudi Arabia, so firstly, I wouldn’t be surprised if you haven’t heard of the show, and secondly, not surprised if you weren’t in attendance. However, they have an impressive array of new hardware on show this year. If you are into industrial computing, edge AI, or just love seeing massive amounts of connectivity on a single board, their latest showcase is definitely worth a look. Designed to tackle smart manufacturing, smart cities, and retail, BIOSTAR is clearly pushing hard into the demanding industrial computing space. While a lot of this might not seem important to your typical PC enthusiast, a lot of tech like this is a backbone of many of the industries we all use and rely on.

BIOSTAR Industrial Motherboards

BIOSTAR’s industrial motherboard lineup is designed for smart manufacturing and demanding operating environments, featuring robust connectivity, expansive memory support, and compatibility with Intel’s latest processor architectures. Here is a quick look at the standout boards and their key specifications for system builders:

  • BIW88-AHS: Built for high-performance workloads, this board pairs Intel Core Ultra 200 series processors with the Intel W880 chipset. It features four DDR5-5600 U-DIMM slots with ECC support up to 192GB, quad Intel 2.5GbE networking, dual PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, and five PCIe 4.0 slots for massive expansion.
  • BIH61-AHA: Based on the Intel H610 platform, this model supports 12th to 14th Gen Intel Core processors and mixes five conventional PCI slots with modern PCIe 4.0 expansion.
  • BIPTL-IHT: Features an onboard Intel Panther Lake-H processor, DDR5-7200 SO-DIMM support up to 128GB, quad-display output across LVDS, dual HDMI, and dual DisplayPort, along with six COM ports and onboard TPM 2.0.
  • BIWCL-IHT and BIWCL-PAT: Available in Mini ITX and 3.5″ SBC form factors respectively, these are built on Intel Wildcat Lake processors, supporting DDR5-6400 memory and dual Intel i226 2.5GbE networking.
  • BITWL-IHT: A Thin Mini-ITX board supporting Intel Alder Lake-N, Amston Lake, and Twin Lake processors. It features a wide 9-24V DC input and six COM ports, making it highly versatile for legacy equipment.
  • BITWL-150: A compact solution featuring Intel Twin Lake, dual 2.5GbE Intel interfaces, and triple-display output for space-constrained deployments.
  • BIRPL-PAT: Part of the new lineup aimed at providing flexible options for smart industrial integration.

EdgeComp Systems and NVIDIA Jetson AI Platforms

Alongside the motherboards, BIOSTAR has unveiled its EdgeComp systems tailored for edge deployment and AI processing. These systems combine rugged, fanless designs with powerful Intel processors and NVIDIA Jetson modules to deliver serious AI performance in compact footprints. These are the ones I’m most interested in myself, albeit I’m sure they’re a little bit overkill for some at-home AI and home server processing, but they’d be fun to play with.

  • MS-X7433RE and MS-X6413E: Built for harsh environments with an operating range of -40C to 60C, featuring Intel Amston Lake and Elkhart Lake processors, dual 2.5GbE, and four COM ports inside a 160 x 130mm chassis.
  • MT PRO-J6412: A fanless system powered by Intel Celeron J6412, offering six COM ports for extensive legacy device connectivity.
  • MS-1335U: A high-performance fanless design stepping up to a 10-core Intel Core i5-1335U processor, supporting up to 96GB of DDR5 memory and quad 4K display output.
  • MU-N150: An incredibly compact 115 x 118 x 49mm system featuring Intel Twin Lake N150, dual 2.5GbE, and triple 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz display support.
  • MT-U335/U325: Introduces Intel Core Ultra 300S processors to the EdgeComp family for advanced local processing.
  • MS-NAT5000 and MS-NAT4000: Edge AI powerhouses driven by NVIDIA Jetson Thor modules, delivering up to 2,070 and 1,200 TFLOPS of FP4 AI performance respectively. They feature LPDDR5X memory, dual 5GbE LAN, QSFP28 connectivity, and PCIe 5.0 NVMe storage.
  • MS-NANO: A compact, fanless edge AI system built on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano platform, offering optional PoE LAN and a -20C to 50C operating range.

For those curious about real-world applications, BIOSTAR is running a live demonstration of the EdgeComp MT-N150-MX3 paired with a MemryX MX3 M.2 accelerator. This specific setup delivers up to 24 TFLOPS of AI computing performance while keeping power consumption strictly in check, proving that dedicated AI acceleration can be easily integrated into small edge platforms.

Where to Buy

Pricing and retail availability for these new edge AI and IPC products have not been confirmed just yet. However, they’ll likely be available though the usual B2B channels and specialist retailers.
