Starting around the front we can see the Recon features a nice and wide 4.7 inch LCD touch panel display for its readouts and input. You will also notice the tidy BitFenix logo and Recon names in the corners as well as a the nice SofTouch finish on the black part of the front panel.
On the side of the unit we can see that it takes up 1 x 5.25″ optical drive bays, clipping into an open expansion slot from the front of the chassis and is secured by some small screws on the side plates. You can also see that the device some pre-wired with all the required components.
Around the back, we get a much better look at how it all works, starting from the left we have the first two fan connections, then the thermal sensors, on the right we have three more fan connection points and the power connection. All of these cables are removable too, so if you don’t need all of them you can remove the cables to reduce clutter in your system.
Below you can see the various connections that these cables provide, in the bottom left we have a USB motherboard connector, a set of thermal probes, the fan connection points and the 4 pin molex power cable.
