BitFenix Shinobi Chassis Review

Completed System
Installlation was a simple task that took little to no time at all. This was due to the amount of space to move around in side of the case, and the fantastic cable management areas that the Shinobi allowed us to work with.

Powering the system on gives no indication on the front of the case, leaving a subtle understated look under your desk. The top does however include two LEDs.

The back of the case is a similar view as none of the included fans are LED which leaves the other components of your build to shine a little bit of colour in and around the case.

Looking at the side gives a nice view of the motherboard and expansion slots. Most motherboards include a few activity LEDs and sometimes even a Debug LED which will all give a nice view through the window. If you are buying this case with the optional window, i’d definitaly look at getting some kind of LED fans or lighting to give the window a bit more of a show.

Taking the side panel off now that the case has all of the components installed gives a glimpse at how great the cable management is on this case. As you can see, it really did make me look like something of a pro. I would have liked to had the hard drive fitted the other way to hide all of the SATA cables devoted to it, but the fan caused a problem with clearance on this. You can also see that there is a small amount of room for cable management in regards to the front panel audio header and 8-pin motherboard connector which was really handy and clears up the CPU socket area quite well.
