Bloober Team Expects Significant Profits from Cronos: The New Dawn
Bloober Team seems quite happy with the sales of Cronos: The New Dawn, or at least believes that, in the long term, the game will bring significant profits.
The studio released its new IP, Cronos: The New Dawn, about a month ago. It sold around 200,000 copies during its launch weekend. While there are no updated numbers for the following weeks, Bloober considers the game a great success for the studio.
Bloober Team’s Comments on Cronos: The New Dawn
Bloober expects to earn a major profit from this new IP, even though it has not shared any exact figures. It’s also possible that Cronos doesn’t need massive sales to be profitable. Thanks to lower development costs, the studio might make good money with fewer sales compared to a typical AAA game.
During a Q&A session with investors, Bloober Team’s CEO Piotr Babieno and Vice President Karolina Nowak talked about the game’s success and the potential for a sequel. They explained that, aside from a few updates, the team is not currently working on DLCs or a sequel to Cronos: The New Dawn. However, they mentioned that the studio is definitely thinking about developing this IP in the future.
For now, it’s too early to talk about Cronos 2, though it’s not impossible. The studio is currently focused on another major project — the remake of the first Silent Hill, which is now in production.
