Borderlands 4 Trailer Drops and I Can’t Wait to Play it in Splitscreen
If you’ve been reading most of what I’ve written over the years, you’ll know that I play quite a few games. However, there are few I play more than Borderlands. I often sit down on the couch in the evening, throw Borderlands 2 up on the projector, and play it in split-screen with my girlfriend. We’ve got thousands of hours into the franchise at this point, and after restarting from scratch a few months ago to prepare for Borderlands 4, we’re showing no signs of slowing down.
Of course, I’m hyped for 4. I can’t say I was too impressed with 3; it felt a bit over the top and immature, which is saying something for Borderlands. However, we’ve heard lots of positive things about the new game. The developers say that its tone is set to feel like it sits between Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2, and I would say that’s perfect if true.

If you’re eager to see how the game plays, check out the trailer below. In the video, you can see that the game has many enhancements to the gameplay and movement, such as double jumping, a grapple, and no doubt some refinements to general movement and sliding.
The trailer was released at the PlayStation State of Play last night, where Take-Two gave us a fresh look at the game. While the game is launching on 23 September, you can, of course, expect an Xbox and PC release then too. Perhaps we’ll even see this one hitting the Switch 2 when Nintendo reveal more details in the coming weeks.
Whatever is coming, I can’t wait to go hunting for more loot and vaults.
