Buffalo Launches TeraStation 5000 SMB NAS

Buffalo Technology is today announcing the latest addition to the TeraStation 5000 family. The devices are equipped with powerful Intel Atom Dual-Core Processor D2550/4 threads, providing faster transfer of large files from multiple computers. Packed with business class features and advanced functionality, the TeraStation 5200 and 5400 can be used as NAS and iSCSI storage servers simultaneously making it suitable for SMBs (small to medium businesses) that require a multi-functional storage server.

The TeraStation 2-Bay (TS 5200) and 4-bay (TS 5400) offers a complete solution to meet the increasing data demands placed on SMBs. It offers a level of performance, flexibility, security and capacity usually only available in enterprise-class storage devices.

With the Buffalo surveillance solution SMBs can record from their office using the IP camera and stream it directly to the TeraStation. Each TeraStation is capable of supporting and managing up to 10 IP cameras.

The total back-up design feature providesdata protection and duplication of data from one TeraStation to another, with the capability to support cloud storage service for flexible operations. It has a faster and easy-to-use web user interface and 2GB of fast DDR3 memory installed.
