Bungie’s new game “Destiny” info gets leaked by IGN’s reader

Readers are good source of information and secret info too. This own turned out to be more one could hope for as a reader has provided IGN about “Destiny”- a new game from Bungie. He provided story details and concept art.

According to the document, “Our story begins seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man’s Golden Age. A massive, mysterious alien ship hangs overhead like a second Moon. No one knows where it came from or what it’s here for, but only that it’s our protector. Meanwhile, strange, alien monsters creep in from the edge of the universe, determined to take Earth and the Last City. We are young ‘knights’ tasked with defending the remains of humanity, discovering the source of these monsters and – eventually – overcoming it.” Elsewhere in the document, the massive alien ship is referred to as “the Traveler.”

According to the information, it looks like Destiny is for PS3 and XBOX 360- atleast according to one of the art concepts.

However, IGN’s readers have pointed out that some of the artwork are from a canceled title “Command & Conquer” game “Tiberium”. There is also a reference in one of the documents is that the game will be available in the the next successor console platform from Microsoft, indirectly referring to Xbox 720. Chances are that this will be include playstation 4 and eventually PC.
