Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta Stops 97% of Cheaters Within Minutes, Says Activision
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is now in its beta phase, giving fans the chance to enjoy and explore the game before its official release. Of course, it’s expected that cheaters would try to spoil the fun. According to players, there are quite a few cheaters in the beta, but the anti-cheat team strongly disagrees.
Team RICOCHET from Activision claims that 97% of cheaters were identified and “stopped” within 30 minutes. Only 1% of those managed to actually get into a match, which makes the results quite promising, based on the shared data.
Team RICOCHET’s Response to Cheating in Black Ops 7
The information comes from a post shared on social media by “Call of Duty Updates.” It explains that cheaters were expected, but the new defense systems blocked them faster than ever before. Even those who lasted a bit longer almost never managed to join a match.
Team RICOCHET also boasted that cheat vendors are now labeling their tools as “unusable” or already “detected,” highlighting that there’s currently no effective way to cheat in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
The team stated that since the release of Black Ops 6, more than 40 cheat developers and sellers have been shut down thanks to Team RICOCHET’s actions. However, to make these protections possible, players need to enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. These settings can sometimes cause issues for honest players, and the team expressed gratitude for their “patience and cooperation.”
In other news, Former Blizzard president Mike Ybarra claims Battlefield 6 will “boot stomp” Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, arguing the rivalry will push both franchises to deliver better FPS experiences and end CoD’s years of decline.
