Call of Duty Player Gets 67-Year Ban

A Call of Duty player named Jefedadon762 has just received a ban of 24,488 days, which is approximately 67 years. Now what does a person have to do to get this kind of ban? Simple, it seems you just have to violate the game’s “chat activity” policy. What did he say? He won’t say, but given that reddit mods deleted his one main comment on this, we can assume he was what we like to call “pretty damn guilty”.
COD Ban
A couple of days ago Jefedadon762 posted on Reddit showing the pop-up for his “temporary” ban which will last him until around roughly Black Ops 70 is released. I very much recommend reading through some of the comments on the post as they are truly hilarious, reddit takes no prisoners when it comes to the comments section.

67 Year Ban
Bans like these have been somewhat common before, with Fortnite, for example, where a player was banned for a millennium. I’m sure you’ve heard other stories of players being banned for X number of years for doing whatever. Longer bans are more common today in modern online multiplayer games with repeated offences leading to longer bans.
It also brings up the question of how moderated these games should be, as Call of Duty already has an age rating of 18. One comment on the Reddit post said, “Did you say the same bad words you hear the in-game characters say?” It’s a fair point, how come the game can swear but we can’t?
Competitive Gaming Brings out the Worst
But these games are competitive and bring out the worst in people. Lest we forget the days of the Xbox 360 lobbies, which, although funny, were a breeding ground for toxicity, but again, still pretty funny at times too.
I do wish they’d tell us exactly what people did when they ban them though, it would help other people avoid the bans in the future.
