Capcom Says Resident Evil Requiem Won’t Repeat Monster Hunter Wilds’ PC Issues
Resident Evil Requiem will not face the same technical problems that Monster Hunter Wilds experienced at launch on PC, says Capcom, which clarified this during a Q&A tied to its recent financial disclosure.
Capcom has made clear that it does not expect Resident Evil Requiem to suffer the technical problems seen at launch on PC in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Why Capcom is Confident
The launch of Monster Hunter Wilds on PC, which was marred by several technical issues, impacted Capcom’s organization. It appears the company is determined not to repeat the same mistakes and has taken proactive measures ahead of Resident Evil Requiem.
In its response, Capcom stated that the new game differs significantly from Monster Hunter Wilds in terms of gameplay, system architecture and network features, and therefore they don’t foresee similar risks.
Capcom added that they are developing Resident Evil Requiem to ensure a smooth experience across a wide range of PC hardware specifications.
Furthermore, because the game is heading to multiple platforms — including the Nintendo Switch 2 — the company has carried out even greater optimization work.
In related news, Resident Evil Requiem was once planned as an online open-world game, but Capcom scrapped the idea in favor of a classic single-player horror experience.
