CD Projekt Red Partners With Zero Latency VR for Cyberpunk 2077

It seems the neon-soaked streets of Night City are about to get a lot more tangible. CD PROJEKT RED has teamed up with the location-based VR specialists at Zero Latency VR to create a brand-new, free-roam experience based on the world of Cyberpunk 2077. This isn’t a simple port of the 2020 RPG, but a bespoke, self-contained adventure designed specifically for large-scale arenas where players can move physically without being tethered to a PC.

The experience aims to capture the distinct atmosphere of Night City, allowing groups of players to explore the dark future megalopolis at a “human scale.” By utilising Zero Latency’s wireless headsets and full-body tracking, the collaboration promises a social, fully immersive adventure that moves beyond the traditional screen-based format.

Zero Latency VR

Zero Latency VR is known for its warehouse-scale setups, and this latest project looks to push those boundaries further. While it is inspired by the established lore, the developers have clarified that this is a unique story and experience rather than a direct translation of the existing video game.

“Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most richly imagined worlds in modern entertainment,” said Tim Ruse, CEO of Zero Latency VR. “What makes this collaboration special is how naturally it aligns with what we do best. Zero Latency experiences are about freedom of movement and shared adrenaline, and Night City is a world that begs to be explored at a human scale. CD PROJEKT RED are experts in their craft, and we’re looking forward to creating a new, unforgettable adventure.”
