While Chieftec might not be necessarily one of the first names that trip off your tongue if asked to name a PC component manufacturer, if our comments section is anything to go by, then the hardware community certainly holds their product releases with a lot of respect and regard. I mean, we certainly do, and that’s why when we were given a chance to check out their new Polaris series of power supplies, we jumped straight for it!

Available in both 850 and 1050 wattage output variants, it seems pretty clear that Chieftec is angling this Polaris series towards the high-end performance gaming consumer.
