Grand Theft Auto 5
Grand Theft Auto V’s enormous scale and beautiful vistas didn’t prevent the system from maintaining a fluid frame-rate even when paired with a 4K monitor.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Rise of the Tomb Raider is one of the most demanding games available today and the Very High preset can easily make GPUs with low amounts of video memory to stutter quite badly. Thankfully, this isn’t the case with the GTX 1080 which posted astounding numbers and provides a really fluid user-experience. Even though the frame-rate dips below 60 when using a 4K panel, it’s fairly smooth given the extreme graphics settings. Therefore, it shouldn’t be too difficult to reach 60 frames-per-second by tweaking a few options in the graphics menu.
Hitman
Here we can see a similar picture during the Hitman benchmark and the performance remains strong whilst opting for the DirectX 12 API.
Far Cry Primal
In Far Cry Primal, the frame-rate is really solid but it starts to drop more than I’d like with a 4K monitor. On the other hand, the frame-rate is fairly consistent and doesn’t feel as jarring as you might expect.
