As some of you may know, we completely revamped our testing recently. While there’s not much to compare to, we can still see the performance of the Samurai. It’s going up against a GTX 1070 laptop here with the same CPU, so it’ll be interesting to see where it stacks up. Straight away, the 3DMark score is great, clocking in at just under 10k.
Certainly one of the more demanding benchmarks, Superposition Extreme really made the GTX 1060 work hard. At just over 2000, the Samurai is scoring right where we expected, which is good.
For productivity at home, or even in the office, the Samurai is no slouch. that Core i7-7700HQ can really pull its weight. Of course, the P56XT took the lead, backed up by that faster GPU.
The same CPU should deliver the same results. However, a few minor changes such as cooling and the memory speeds add up. The Samurai blasted into the lead in our WPrime test.
Again, the same CPU, so it’s no surprise they’re pretty much identical scores here. A rendering powerhouse this is not, but for a laptop, these are very good scores.
The Samurai fell behind a little in 4K video conversion, but it’s hardly surprising. This laptop isn’t designed for such heavy-duty work loads, but if the time does come, it will get the job done regardless.
