Cities: Skylines Is Free to Play on Steam for a Limited Time

Cities: Skylines

You can now see what Cities: Skylines is all about.

If you always wanted to try out Cities: Skylines but never got around to it, here’s your chance. Not too long ago, Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive have announced that their game will be free to play on Steam for a limited time. There are plenty of classic city simulators out there, but Skylines actually comes with a modern twist. The title comprises a series of unique elements that aims to recreate the challenges of creating and maintaining a real city. There’s even a full transport system included. However, you’ll also be able to mod the game according to your own preferences, as the game is quite friendly in this regard. Other highlights include Districts and Policies, a day/night cycle and complex local traffic simulation.

How long does the free-to-play offer last?

You can currently download Cities: Skylines from its official Steam page. You’ll be able to play it until February 11, after which you’ll have to purchase it if you want to continue. Even though it will only last for a few days, this offer is great for people who need some convincing that this is one of the best city simulators out there.

Just have a look at the release trailer below and give it a chance!
