Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Wins GOTY and Releases Free DLC to Thank Players
If you followed The Game Awards 2025, you probably noticed that the Japanese-style RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 by Sandfall Interactive swept the stage, winning several awards — including Game of the Year (GOTY). To celebrate, the development team has released a free DLC, packed with new content, which you can download right now.
The “Thank You” DLC Update
“What an incredible night at The Game Awards!” wrote the French developers, who clearly had this gift ready in advance, expecting to return to France with a treasure trove of awards.
“To celebrate this amazing year, and as a sincere ‘Thank You’ to the community, we are now rolling out the free major ‘Thank You’ Update, adding new content and a few fun surprises!”
Here’s what players can expect:
- A new, playable environment, taking the characters to new adventures…
- Brand new music tracks by award-winning composer, Lorien Testard.
- Challenging boss battles for late-game players to overcome within the Endless Tower.
- An official Photo Mode, allowing players to get creative and capture their favourite moments from the game’s story and battles.
The update also adds new text and UI localizations in Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19.
In addition, the patch includes bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and performance optimizations across all platforms — even on portable PC systems like the Steam Deck.
