Club3D Multi-Streaming Transport Hub Review

When you need more, the Y-Cabled Docking Station

Connecting multiple displays isn’t always enough to get that extra bit of joy out of your notebook or ultrabook, sometimes you need a little more. This is where Club 3D’s Y-cabled docking station comes into play offering additional USB 3.0 and network ports.

Where the MST hub used a normal DisplayPort connector, the CSV-3203  is using a duality of a USB 3.0 and mini-DisplayPort connectors to give you the ability to connect two monitors via the mini-DisplayPort connectors as well as three high-speed devices or peripherals through the USB 3.0 ports.

The docking station also gives you a wired Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port which honestly is preferred over a wireless connection most of the times. At least when you need stability and speed.

The Club 3D docking station comes in a sleek and appealing appearance and a dedicated power supply that ensures that all connected devices are sufficient powered. It’s only 1.95cm thick, making it highly portable at the same time. Take your docking station with you on the road when you need it – a great bonus. The button seen on the rear of the docking station is a scan button for the attached displays.

The Club 3D docking station features extra air vents on the bottom of the device to make sure the that it doesn’t overheat. Club 3D even paid attention to the detail here and made them in a stylish layout, and that even though you’ll rarely see the bottom of this unit. I like it when companies pay attention to detail, even those out of the immediate eyesight.
