The card at a first glance is quite subtle but unique on the same hand. It incorporates a large shrouding which covers the aluminium heatsink and a very large fan situated in the middle of the card. We also get a first glance at the heatpipes being exposed at both the top and bottom of the card. The cover includes lots of branding including “CoolStream” and “royalKing”.

Turning the card on its side, we can reveal a very large copper heatpipe which goes through the baseplate and comes out either side of the card. The top transfer heat to one side of the heatsink while the bottom part transfers heat through the heatpipe to the opposite side of the heatsink.

Being a 7850, we find the typical single 6-pin PCI-Express power connector on the end of the card.

For those wanting more performance, without spending serious amounts of money, you have a single CrossFireX finger to enable multi-GPU technology with another matching card.

In terms of the rear I/O, Club3D have decided to change the connectors from the typical dual mini DisplayPort connectors. Instead, we find a single full-size DisplayPort connector, a HDMI connector and a single dual-link DVI display output connector. As we all AMD cards as of current, we also have the facility to enable multi-monitor technology through use of AMD Eyefinity.

Being part of the royalKing range, we find the memory clock speed at stock speeds, while the GPU core clock has had a slight increase from 860MHz to 910MHz, leaving the overclock as a main selling point for Club3D and this card. Other than this, we find the standard 28nm Pitcairn core with 2GB of GDDR5 running on a 256 bit memory bus.
