CM Storm Sentinel Z3RO-G Gaming Mouse Review

Final ThoughtsThe Sentinal Z3RO-G is clearly a product of CM Storm’s knowledge of the peripheral market and of their improvements to make a truly fantastic mouse.

The features on this mouse really set it aside from the competition. It is not the only mouse to feature easily adjustable DPI setting, nor to include a profile switching button- but this is the first mouse I have seen that has actually made these features work properly by introducing the LED screen which allows you to easily see what settings your are on and what you are changing to. By no means is this just a bunch of features thrown together to increase sales, but a truly great combination that simply works.

The great functional features are accented by the amazing looks that CM Storm has built around the main working parts of the mouse, fortunately not the other way around as we have seen a lot of recently. The aesthetic features highlight the practical ones, which is the recipe for a great mouse.

Unfortunately, the Sentinel Z3RO-G cannot cater for all types of grips fully, which is the compromise for the functionality. However, if you do use a palm grip you will find that given time, you hand will mould to the mouse and you will find your most comfortable grip. For those who use claw of fingertip grips, you should have no problem having a really comfortable experience with this mouse!

Overall, I think that CM Storm has crafted yet another fantastic product. They have been able to combine many features that other manufacturers have failed to implement effectively but have made it work- and that is the beauty of this mouse. It may look a bit over-glamorised for a serious gaming mouse but trust me; this thing is a killer in disguise!

Pros:

  • Great combination of useful features
  • Fantastic Looks
  • Advanced software
  • On the fly DPI and profile switching
  • Highly customisable

Cons:

  • Grip doesn’t suit all
