Motherboard and video card manufacturer Colorful has announced their latest graphics card called the iGame GeForce GTX 1080 Ti RNG Edition. It is co-developed with the RNG eSports Gaming Team, thus it bears their name. The unveiling was held at the recent CGU APAC 2017 at a crowd of eSports enthusiasts and RNG fans. RNG stands for Royal Never Give-up and they are a Chinese League of Legends team. The new RNG eSports Edition GTX 1080 Ti also bears their rose gold colour for the shroud.
Each GTX 1080 Ti RNG Edition uses three 92mm fans. These have dual-ball bearings which last longer than the typical sleeve bearing used on many video cards. The fan blades also use a unique saw sickle design, which Colorful claims provides 85% better performance than multi-groove fan blades that others use. Underneath is the SWORIZER cooler, a direct copper heatpipe heatsink which easily handles the GTX 1080 Ti’s thermal loads even when overclocking.
The card also has something called the iGame status monitor. It is an LCD screen showing live information on the card as it operates. This includes core clocks, core temperature, load line status and memory usage. No need for any overlays when you can just look directly at the card and see how it is doing.
