Complete Specifications of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 Series Revealed
It seems we won’t have to wait until February 28 to learn the full specifications of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 Series. VideoCardz has shared the complete specs of both models, which use the same Navi 48 GPU built by TSMC using their 4-nanometer process.
The AMD Radeon RX 9070 Series uses a Navi 48 GPU with 53.9 billion transistors and a die size of 357 mm². The most powerful model, RX 9070 XT, features 64 RDNA 4 CUs, 64 ray accelerators, and 128 AI accelerators, adding up to 4,096 Stream Processors. The model without the XT has 56 RDNA 4 CUs, 56 ray accelerators, and 112 AI accelerators, totaling 3,584 Stream Processors.
Clock Speeds and Performance
The clock speeds for these cards range from 2,400 MHz to 2,970 MHz for the RX 9070 XT, and 2,070 MHz to 2,520 MHz for the regular RX 9070. The XT model is expected to hit nearly 49 TFLOPS in single precision, while the non-XT version will reach just over 36 TFLOPS. Both models will come with 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM at 20 Gbps, providing a 640 GB/s bus thanks to their 256-bit interface.
While the exact price for the RX 9070 XT is still unknown, it is expected to be under $700, with $699 being the most likely price. The price of the non-XT model is still a mystery, but it is expected to be crucial for competing in the mid-range market once NVIDIA releases its RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 Ti models later this year.
