Concord Is Playable Again as Fans Restore the Game Through Private Servers
Concord might have been one of the biggest failures from Sony Interactive Entertainment, yet it managed to gather a small fan base. Some of these fans have gotten busy creating fan-made servers for the PC version so that the few players who own the game can still play.
Originally released in August 2024 for PC and PS5, the game was developed by Firewalk Studios—which closed shortly after its launch and failure.
What Works and What’s Next
After months of work, a small group of fans successfully brought Concord back online and played some matches using the new private servers. It’s not perfect yet, but we can now say that Concord is alive again.
The leaders of the project are known as Red, open_wizard, and gwog. They also run a Discord server where they told the community that the servers were finally stable enough to play.
So far the main menu, character loading, matchmaking, and the entire Clash Point mode are functioning. There are still bugs, of course, but it’s impressive that a group of dedicated (and technically skilled) fans got the game working outside Sony’s infrastructure.
For now, the team wants to test the private servers before opening them to everyone. Also, you still need a copy of Concord to play.
