Control Resonant Will Support Xbox Play Anywhere, Remedy Is Optimizing the Game for Handheld Devices
Remedy has revealed that Control Resonant will support the Xbox Play Anywhere program. This means players only need to buy one digital copy to access both the Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC versions of the game, while also being able to switch between platforms and keep their progress.
The confirmation came from an interview published on Xbox Wire with Miika Huttunen, senior communications manager at Remedy. He said, “We want players to feel at home with Control Resonant wherever they choose to play. Our focus has been on making sure the experience feels great across platforms.”
Remedy Wants Control Resonant to Feel Great on Every Platform
Huttunen also explained that Remedy is spending time and resources to make sure the game is optimized for handheld PCs such as Steam Deck and ROG Ally.
“We want to ensure the game is great on all platforms and the best possible experience for players,” he said. “Many of the moments in AAA games tend to really shine on big displays, but we of course realize that there are players on handheld devices. We take that into account from a performance and controls standpoint to ensure that those players get the best possible experience.”
The work being done for handheld devices could even help create a future version for Nintendo Switch 2. For now, however, Control Resonant has only been confirmed for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a release planned for 2026.
