Performance

The mounting kit is simple enough, but the screws are very low profile, so it can be a bit of a fiddly task, but you can use the screwdriver to tighten them up anyway.

But the neat thing is the cooler screws right down onto the bracket from the top. Long screws are going from the top to the bottom, so you can just turn the top part. Wow, what an easy process that was!

The cooler looks pretty great, at least from this angle.

The second fan is optional, but it looks more like the cooler is wearing a backpack or something the way it hangs there. Alas, I care less about aesthetics and more about cooling performance in this regard, so let’s get to the testing!

Stock Temperatures

Right, let’s just take a minute to appreciate how damn impressive this cooler is. +50c over the ambient of 23c at full load on a stock 12900K. That’s beating nearly everything, with the lowest idle and the lowest gaming results we’ve had yet. Truly, this is an incredible score.

Stock Acoustics

Then it’s not the quietest cooler we’ve had, but it’s a tied match between the D15S and the Assassin IV, all basically as quiet or similar noise levels to our case fans.

Overclocked Temperatures

But overclocking, well, this is shocking, the D15S is lagging here, the Assassin IV only beat the D15S just the other day, and now, the MA824 does it again! While the 622 did run 2c cooler again, keep in mind, it was also much more audible too.

Overclocked Acoustics

Take that Noctua, 5c cooler while overclocked and just as quiet, that’s bloody impressive. Again, the Cooler Master 622 was our coolest air cooler so far, but 4dBa louder means you can hear it. The MA824 is STEALTH.
