Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 3 Micro-ATX Chassis Review

Complete System

The MasterCase Pro 3 is one of the easiest chassis to work with you could imagine. There’s more than enough space in there for high-end hardware without any major conflicts, and even then, you can still find space for high-end water cooling and much more as well.

One of my favourite features is the cable routing grommet on the PSU shroud, as it allows you to easily pass the cables to the graphics card without having it trail over or under the card, minimising cable trail and keeping things neat and tidy; I’m amazed how many chassis don’t have this simple feature.

Additional storage bays won’t be a problem here, with a huge amount of room for expansion in the front, although that will depend on your choice of cooling, as this space could also be eaten up by thick radiators.

The graphics card fit with ease, despite its large size. Even with a radiator in the front, we can’t see there being any issues here.

There’s a very impressive amount of cable routing space behind the motherboard, so much that even the space behind the PSU wasn’t needed to hide excess cables, helping keep our build looking neat and tidy even in areas that are mostly out of sight.

Above the motherboard, you’ll find ample space for extra fans or a radiator, and those two cable routing cut-outs mean that there’s no cables trailing far from the motherboard, keeping it neat and tidy. There’s good clearance for the rear fan too, with no cables blocking the airflow and more than enough room for a thick 120/140mm cooler, such as an AIO liquid cooler, and still have plenty of room to route the water pipes.

With the side panel back in place, everything looks stunning through that lightly tinted window which does a great job of masking the black fittings but showing off the highlights of your components.

Overall, this is by far one of the best looking and easiest to work with Micro-ATX chassis we’ve ever seen – a perfect score all round from Cooler Master.
